Wright Investments, through its Hospitality Opportunity Fund II platform recently acquired the 89-key Sedona Reãl Inn & Suites in Sedona, Arizona. With its renowned natural red rock features, unique cultural character, and accessible location to dense feeder markets, Sedona has become a destination market for both travelers and investors alike. These factors, among others, align with Wright’s historical investment thesis of targeting high-barrier-to-entry, leisure, and drive-to destinations with a demonstrated capability to consistently generate high RevPAR. Wright first identified the opportunity in 2019 and secured this off-market transaction during the height of the pandemic at below its original target price range in anticipation of the now-realized market trend toward secondary and tertiary leisure markets. While fully evaluating all options for the property, ownership will initially maintain the Sedona Reãl Inn & Suites’ independent status while implementing institutional revenue management, sales operations, and administrative controls to maximize property performance and profitability for investors. In addition, Wright is planning several enhancements to the suite of property amenities in order to augment the excellent guest experience.
