Today Wright Investment Properties continues that tradition by sharing its business success with charitable organizations to make a real and lasting contribution to the communities where its hotels operate and its employees reside. As a responsible corporate citizen, Wright Investment properties is dedicated to strengthening the communities we serve by supporting specific organizations that benefit children and families in need.
In 2006 Wright Investment Properties joined forces with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a highly recognized international wish-granting organization with affiliates in 32 countries worldwide. Dedicated to granting the wishes of children between the ages of three to seventeen with life-threatening illnesses, the Make-A-Wish Foundation strives to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
Born in 1980 when a group of caring individuals helped a young boy fulfill his dream of becoming a police officer, the Foundation is now the largest wish-granting charity in the world, with 69 chapters in the US and its territories. With the help of generous donors and nearly 25,000 volunteers, the Make-A-Wish Foundation grants more than 12,500 wishes a year and has granted more than 141,000 wishes in the US since inception.
One of the primary reasons Wright Investment properties chose Make-A-Wish as our corporate charity of choice is because of their commitment to the community. This organization is one of the best for spending the money raised on helping families. In addition to granting wishes free from financial concern, the Make-A-Wish Foundation works hard to ensure that each wish is personal and that it involves the entire family. With all wishes, the family is a large part of the wish experience given that parents and siblings often need magical moments has as much as the wish children themselves.
Through employee volunteerism and corporate donations, Wright Investment Properties raises money to grant wishes to children with life threatening illnesses. In the past we have held bake sales, raffles, car washes, participated in golf tournaments and in-hotel donation boxes to support Make-A-Wish.
