Larry F. Wright, Sr.
President

Founded Wright Investment Properties, Inc. in 1982. Mr. Wright has formed numerous real estate partnerships throughout the United States and has owned and/or managed over 80 hotels in 16 states, as well as apartments, offices, condominiums and a residential subdivision. He has been a visiting lecturer at the university level, including Harvard Business School, Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University and other schools. Mr. Wright has served as President of various real estate organizations on both a local and state level and received his B.S. from Mississippi State University
 

Charles G. Swan

Joined Wright Investment Properties, Inc. in 1995 with twenty-five years in the hospitality industry. His prior experience includes Vice President of Development for Lane Hospitality/Victor Division and Regional Vice-President of Operations & Development for Beck Summit Hotels. Mr. Swan has supervised, managed and developed numerous properties including golf resorts and new construction properties. Hotels under his supervision have been recognized not only for superior financial performance but also for quality and guest service related awards. Mr. Swan received his B.A. degree from State University of New York and holds the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) designation. Mr. Swan serves on committees of several major hotel companies.

 
 

Brandon T. Birkhead
Vice President of Development

Has been with Wright Investment Properties since 1988. Mr. Birkhead has worked extensively in all aspects of hotel operations. After serving as General Manager of several hotels, he was promoted to Regional Vice President of Operations in 1994. In his current role as Vice President of Development, he aggressively pursues unique opportunities to acquire new properties and to secure 3rd party management contracts. He utilizes strategic vision and direction in analyzing project feasibility, evaluating budget and cash flow projections and probing all needed franchise and government requirements. Mr. Birkhead graduated from Oklahoma State University's School of Hotel and Restaurant Administration, where he was named outstanding alumnae of 1994 for his high level of achievements in the hospitality industry.

 

Mark A. Coltharp
Regional Vice President of Operations

Has been in the hospitality industry since 1976 and in his present position for Wright Investment Properties since 1990. His primary responsibility is to be a guiding resource to on site property management for expertise in operations and to evaluate and direct each management team's performance. Previously employed by Peabody Hotel Group as a General Manager with experience with Hilton and Holiday Inns, he initially began his career with Wright Investment Properties as the General Manager of a Sheraton. Mr. Coltharp attended the University of Memphis and holds the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) designation.
 

Gary C. Tigges
Regional Vice President of Operations

Has been in the hospitality industry over 20 years and previously managed a number of hotels including Hilton, Radisson and Holiday Inn. Mr. Tigges is responsible for insuring positive growth in property revenue, service and financial results while enhancing ownership assets. Mr. Tigges's previous experience with Winegardner & Hammons and Lane Hospitality encompasses all areas of hotel operations. He holds a BS in Hotel Restaurant Institutional Management from Southwest State University. He additionally has a Chefs' Certification and is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA).
 

Roy C. Stephenson

Joined Wright Investment Properties in 1994 after an extensive career with Holiday Inns, Inc., where he held the position of Regional Controller of the Western Region of the United States. His prior experience also includes Controller for Great Western Casinos and numerous accounting and audit positions for Holiday Inns, Inc. He is a Certified Public Accountant with a BBA degree from Lambuth College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
 

Brenda L. Napier
Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Joined Wright Investment Properties, Inc. in 1989. Ms. Napier gained more than ten years of property level and senior management experience in the area of hotel sales and marketing before being promoted to the Corporate Office in 1993 . Prior to her employment with Wright Investment Properties, Ms. Napier was associated with several hotels in the sales and marketing area including Marriott, Hilton and Sheraton. She attended the University of Kansas and has served as an officer and president of various hotel sales and marketing organizations.
